Tibbs Drive-In Theatre
For a vintage, all-American experience, Tibbs Drive-In Theatre can’t be beat. This classic drive-in movie theater has been operating since 1953 and is one of only a handful remaining in Indiana. Families, couples, and groups of friends can pile into a charter bus and then settle in to watch first-run blockbuster movies under the stars. With space for up to 600 cars, there’s plenty of room at Tibbs. Your group can relax in lawn chairs or the bus’s comfortable, reclining seats during the show. The drive-in’s old-fashioned concession stand serves up buttery popcorn, hot dogs, pizza, and more.

Rhythm! Discovery Center
Music lovers of all ages will have a blast at the Rhythm! Discovery Center in downtown Indianapolis. Greenwood Park Mall Carousel
Take a ride on a piece of Indianapolis history at the Greenwood Park Mall Carousel. This beautifully restored antique carousel originally debuted at Riverside Amusement Park in Indianapolis in 1912. After nearly 90 years of transporting smiling families at amusement parks around the Midwest, the carousel was fully refurbished and reopened at Greenwood Park Mall in 2000. Today, kids of all ages can enjoy riding this historic carousel while listening to the sounds of an antique Wurlitzer Band Organ. The carousel’s hand-carved horses and chariots are a sight to see, and riders can try to grab the brass ring as they spin around. It’s a classic treat for the young and young at heart!

Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library
Indianapolis was home to one of America’s greatest 20th century writers, Kurt Vonnegut. Today, the Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library celebrates his life and literary legacy. See an extensive collection of Vonnegut’s typewriters, fountain pens, original manuscripts, correspondence, and other memorabilia. Exhibits explore his life growing up in Indianapolis and how it influenced classics like Slaughterhouse-Five. Madame Walker Legacy Center
Pay tribute to an iconic Indianapolis entrepreneur at the Madame Walker Legacy Center. This museum, theatre, and cultural arts center honors Madam C.J. Walker – considered America’s first female self-made millionaire. Born in Louisiana in 1867, Walker built her fortune by founding a successful hair care business and cosmetics line for black women. Indiana Landmarks Center

This historic former Presbyterian church was built in 1896 and later converted into offices and a banquet hall.
